Mental Health Matters (MHM) is a NAMI WC workgroup that focuses on community-wide advocacy and education. Recently, MHM championed the Mental Health Treatment Court and attends the court’s bi-weekly case conferences. In 2015, MHM focused on Person-Centered Planning and the integration of services to people with mental illness. In 2014, MHM held community education sessions on Eligibility and Recipient Rights and Complaint Processes (Stacey Coleman), a forum on Justice and Mental Health featuring author Pete Earley, and a panel including the County Sheriff, the Jail psychiatrist, a consumer, the County Prosecutor and the Ann Arbor police Chief.
